Makakrai Suthadarat received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with honours from Silpakorn University in 1999. He then worked as an architect in Architecture Division, Dublin City Council, the Republic of Ireland between 2000-2001. Subsequently he moved to London, UK to continue his study in Design Research Lab [DRL], Architectural Association School of Architecture for his Master degree in Architecture and Urbanism.

After his graduation from AA, he then joined Zaha Hadid Architects in London and worked on numerous projects, international competitions, masterplannings and furniture design between 2004-2006 including Aquatic Centre for London Olympic Games 2012, Nordpark Cable Railway Station in Innsbruck -Austria, Zaragoza Bridge Pavilion -Spain, New Eusko Tren Headquatres -Spain amongst other projects.

While working for ZHA in London, he had been a journalist for several magazines focusing on architecture, art, design and culture.

In 2010, he founded FOS (FOUNDRY OF SPACE) ; a Bangkok-based design company practicing architecture, masterplanning and other design-related fields.

He has been a visiting critic and lecturer at several universities including Silpakorn University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut University of Technology, Thailand and National University of Singapore.

Makakrai is a licensed professional architect in Thailand and a member of The Association of Siamese Architects (ASA).
